Until Filled POSITION OVERVIEW Prince George's Christian Academy is seeking a dedicated Food Services Worker to join our team and support the Food Services Department in providing nutritious meals and snacks to our students.
This is a full-time position reporting to the Food Services Supervisor and may be assigned to either the Upper School campus (Sheriff Rd) or the Lower School campus (Brightseat Rd).
The operating hours for the Food Services Department are Monday through Friday, from 6:
00 AM to 6:
00 PM.
The hours for this position are 7:
00 AM to 3:
00 PM, Monday to Friday.
RESPONSIBILITIES Prepare regular and special meals, bag lunches, and snacks in accordance with established guidelines.
Stay informed about the nutritional requirements of children as outlined by the Maryland State Department of Education and the Child and Adult Care Food Programs.
Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen environment, adhering to the highest standards set by the State Health Department.
Ensure proper stocking of food services pantry, storage area, and refrigerators.
Prepare food service for occasional field trips and other designated events on behalf of PGCA.
Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS Membership, in good standing, of a local Bible-believing church, or willingness to become a member.
Passion for education and dedication to serving the Christian community.
Agreement with our Statement of Faith and Christian philosophy of education.
Commitment to being a Christian role model in attitude, speech, and actions.
High School Diploma or GED required.
Education and Maryland state certification in food safety and sanitation preferred.
Preferred experience in quantity food production and preparation.
Knowledge of measuring, weighing, following recipes, and operating equipment in a production kitchen.
Ability to interact tactfully, effectively, and courteously with students, staff, and others encountered during work.
Positive team player with the ability to work quickly and accurately.
Able to follow written and oral instructions and procedures.
Capable of standing, reaching, lifting, bending, kneeling, stooping, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting items weighing 50 lbs.

Ability to stand or walk for 95% of the workday.
Exceptional manual dexterity, auditory, and visual skills.
