Description of role:
Companionship and personal care assistant who works under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or designee and performs tasks that contribute to the client's plan of care while providing comfort and safety in the home.
Tasks:
Providing personal care and assisting with hygiene, including necessary baths, oral hygiene, and shampoo and changing bed lines Assisting with all activities of daily living such as meal preparations, and light housekeeping Provides companionship, socialization Medication reminders and assisting with self-administration of medications Treat clients and families with respect.
Maintains confidentiality Skills and requirements:
Demonstrate ability to read, write, and follow a written Plan of Care and document tasks Be self-directed and work with minimal supervision.
Demonstrate dependability, tact, patience, and the ability to follow instructions.
Demonstrate good interpersonal communication skills.
Experience in cooking, cleaning, laundry, and shopping.
