Provides telephone, online and in-person technical customer support to resolve software and hardware issues on PC desktop and laptops in a DoD environment. The technician will be working in on Microsoft Windows 7 machines, supporting a wide variety of applications. Duties will include:
Provide technical help desk support via the telephone, online and in person.
Diagnose and
repair
machines remotely including software and hardware installations.
Laptop setup and configuration including VPN (preferred).
IAVA and TrackIT database updates Windows updates.
Qualifications:
Active Secret clearance required.
A
or Network
or Security
certification required.
Must be willing to obtain MS Windows 7 certification within 45 days of start date.
HS diploma plus 1-3 years of customer service experience.
Ability to install and troubleshoot a variety of software packages independently.
Must be able to distinguish difference between hardware and software issues.
Non-Technical Skills:
Ability to write, listen and communicate effectively.
Patient with an outgoing personality and the ability to write and speak well.
Must be able to diagnose and resolve problems in accordance with government standards and policies.
Preferred
Qualifications:
Microsoft Windows 7 or XP Certification highly desired
2 years of desktop and
computer
peripheral support /troubleshooting experience.
Prior Help Desk team experience working with Dell PC's with Windows XP operating systems preferred.
Security+
IAVAEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
