Epidemiologist

As a Epidemiologist, you will:
Identify and analyze pharmacotherapeutic substances (drugs) and evaluate their impact on public health processes, procedures, policies, and surveys. Participate with scientists and program consultants in various aspects of the study of, or collection process of, drug data. Provide scientific advice and technical assistance, and clinical support, to various internal and external stakeholders and/or health-related agencies and organizations for the use of DHCS survey medication data. Provide advice and assistance in the development and implementation of procedures, methods and strategies for obtaining and using drug data which describe the prevalence of drugs and drug prescribing practices. Collaborate with analysts and statisticians to develop joint analyses and publications. Work with other epidemiologists and scientists inside and outside of CDC to ensure that valid research findings are disseminated, used, and applied to prevention programs. Basic
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or graduate/higher level degree:
major study in an academic field related to the medical field, health sciences or allied sciences appropriate to the work of the position. This degree must be from an educational program from an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education (external link) at the time the degree was obtained. Minimum Qualifications GS-11:
Applicants must have at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 in the Federal service as defined in the next paragraph. Specialized experience is experience which is directly related to the position which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities (KSAs) to successfully perform the duties of the position to include experience identifying and analyzing studies to coordinate the evaluation of drugs on public health methods and policies. OR A Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree, or completed three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree, or LL.M., if related. OR A combination of experience and education that meets 100% of the qualification requirements. Minimum Qualifications GS-12:
Applicants must have at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 in the Federal service as defined in the next paragraph. Specialized experience is experience which is directly related to the position which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities (KSAs) to successfully perform the duties of the position to include experience collecting and analyzing drug data from national surveys/administrative data systems related to public health issues. .

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
